About / Richard Dineen

I build
websites.
But really,
I solve
communication
problems.

Introduction

I’m Richard, the person behind Aucate.

I work directly with service businesses to create websites that look good, communicate clearly and make taking the next step easy.

Aucate is intentionally small. You’re not passed from salesperson to account manager to designer. You work with me — from the first conversation through structure, copy, design, build, domain connection and launch.

01 /My approach

01Clarity over clutter
If it doesn't help someone decide, it's in the way.
02Purpose over decoration
Nice-looking is the minimum, not the point.
03Good words matter
Design can't rescue a page that says nothing.
04Mobile isn't an afterthought
It's where most people meet your business.
05Every page needs a job
If a page has no job, it shouldn't exist.

02 /Why Aucate is small

Small isn’t a
limitation. It’s
the whole idea.

  • Direct communication — you talk to the person doing the work
  • Fewer layers, fewer misunderstandings
  • Simpler projects that actually finish
  • No agency overhead built into your price
  • One person responsible for the outcome

It also means straightforward website projects stay straightforward — lean, direct and fast, without an agency’s overhead attached to your project.

03 /What I actually do

  1. 01

    Strategy

Working out what the website has to achieve.

  2. 02

    Copy

Writing the words that do the explaining.

  3. 03

    Design

Making it look like a business worth hiring.

  4. 04

    Build

Putting it together properly, mobile included.

  5. 05

    Launch

    Domain connected, tested, live.
